The challenge:  Family office is all work and no play.

The result:  Move the furniture to allow more room.

Although the old placement was functional, it was a one person office.  Now there are two workstations and a sitting area.  We also suggested painting the office this beautiful blue color to coordinate with the adjacent rooms.  Since this office was primarily for the “mom,” we brought in some accessories that made it feel more feminine.  Task lighting was key, as there was no overhead lighting.  A circular rug helped to link each area of the space as well as to provide pattern and texture.  We brought in a bookcase to help balance the room and to provide more storage for her extensive recipe collection.
