Located just blocks from Downtown Ashland and Randolph Macon College – choose your mode of getting around – many attractions are walkable such as the YMCA or Town Pool. If you prefer biking, there are many quiet, safe, tree-lined streets that end up at the center of town where there are many restaurants and shops. Catch a movie at the recently renovated Ashland Theater then stop in one of the local eateries for live music and a cold beverage.

Community events like street parties, fun runs, bicycle rides, Holiday parades, the Strawberry Faire and of course, the Biennial Ashland Musical Variety Show as well as Randolph Macon College sports and campus events help make Ashland a very lively, fun, and friendly place to be.

This property was about as good as a vacation rental gets. ….I loved all of the Ashland decor, and we found everything we needed at the house during our stay. We even walked downtown for dinner one evening. Thanks for a truly homey place…

James’ place was PERFECT! Clean, thoughtful touches, tons of amenities, comfy beds, quiet, and decorated really well. My son and I stayed there for a week and I have zero complaints – he loved the big bunk beds and I loved the coziness and sounds of the cicadas lulling me to sleep. Will definitely stay again next time we visit Ashland!

James is a wonderful, attentive, accommodating host. He was communicative and even made sure to acquire an item we needed during our stay! The location is quiet, safe, and comfortable. My kids loved sleeping in a bunk bed! Many thoughtful touches and sparkling clean! We were never without the necessities. I loved the decorative attention to details relevant to the city. James also sent many helpful recommendations for fun things to do locally! You would be so lucky to stay at one of James’ locations!

The house was perfect for our five-day visit to family who live in a nearby town. It has everything you’ll need and the kitchen is particularly well-equipped. The host was immediately responsive and took care of all of our (minor) questions and concerns. The neighborhood is cute and quiet. We even saw bunny rabbits in our front yard! We would definitely stay here again.

The house looks EXACTLY like the photos. The staging is excellent—it feels like living in a model home. Beds are comfy, as others have mentioned, and there is a cozy sectional and an abundance of warm blankets and throws. I appreciated all the thoughtful details, like shampoo dispensers, laundry supplies, coffee, etc., as well as the surplus of fresh white towels. There wasn’t much of interest in the immediate area, but the drive to Richmond restaurants was easy and it’s a great central location for visiting historic spots like Monticello and Williamsburg. All around great stay and great host.

The house is in a great area. All of the amenities were top of the line and brand new. Unlike every other rental house I’ve stayed in, the beds were really comfortable!  The host was more than polite and ready to handle anything to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. I would definitely stay here again!

Great place to relax and unwind. Very user friendly and room for everyone to have their own space, but also able to have time together. Worked great for us and felt like home. Easy to walk into the center of town. James was great and responded quickly to a small issue we encountered even though it was getting late. Will definitely consider staying again.

We had a wonderful time visiting family in Glen Allen from this modern, beautifully appointed home. It had everything we needed, and the host was extremely attentive and thoughtful. Highly recommend. It is quite close to downtown Ashland, and about 20 mins to Glen Allen.

This was a great place for us to stay while in town visiting our grandchildren. The house was spotless inside. One minor issue was handled quickly by the property manager. We would stay again!

We stayed here for my daughter’s graduation from the law school. Furnishings were nice and just as pictured. We had 4 people and house felt spacious. Bedrooms are a nice size. Kitchen has full-size appliances in good condition. Pots and pans are very basic but we made things work. Love the large kitchen table. Soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers were nice touch but we brought our own so I can’t speak to the quality. Towels nice and white and soft. Beds comfortable. Neighborhood is quiet and safe but not very walkable (I like to walk for exercise). Nearby neighborhoods and parks were good for walking though. Not a great outdoor space but we didn’t need to use it so it was not an issue.

The house was just as pictured. The linens were fresh and the furnishings were comfortable. There were a lot of nice touches, such as the luggage racks in the closets, and extra fans. The basics such as coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, etc were supplied along with a bowl of snacks. The code lock on the door was easy to use and the security cameras were nice to have, although the neighborhood was so nice that we felt very safe. The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac and close to a shopping center with a variety of shops and restaurants. James was very responsive and easy to communicate with. If I return to Midlothian, I will definitely book this house again.
